BBQ is sorted. Josh is picking up a big one from Tudders. I menitoned us paying for the fuel but, he'd have none of it. All he said was that he wants his steak cooked first!
Also, on the thought of of the social, is it worth us picking up a couple of cases of Stella for punters consumption? Or, get them to bring their own?

Great news on the barby!
Sorry for the lateness of reply, I've been confined to bed (and bathroom) for 24hrs with a terrible bout of vomiting and diarrhoea. I've had violent reaction to dried fruit (of all things) for the past five years and stuff that has been freeze or chemically dried knocks me out within seconds of eating it! A slice of lemon curd swiss roll did for me this time. Well, I say slice, the wife had a slice, I had the remaining three quarters!
Christ! What's in dried fruit that does that to you?
Its something to do with sulphides that are used to dehydrate the fruit and preserve it (rather than sun-drying sultanas for example). Trouble is that its not listed on food labels.
You know those little bits of dried strawberry in Special K cereal and the like? Instant reaction and a horrible 24hrs ensues...

We'll have to concoct some muesli bombs for Jedburgh then.... 
Heh, just shows how bad processed food can be for you - even stuff you would assume is 'healthy'!
Weirdly, I have the opposite problem with grapes. Whilst my reaction is not as extreme, I do get bloated and shit through the eye of the needle if I eat grapes, but raisins are fine for me. This could, of course, be entirely psychosomatic.
Apples are also bad. Any apples; fresh, dried or juiced; make my stomach balloon.
Just in case the allies never get to see it

Jerries have a 3' x 4' mapboard/blackboard as well - get close enough and you might glean some information!

Oh well. Any ideas for what Jerry can construct, instead of a mortart pit and an MG pit? I reckon a road checkpoint would be good, all they need is a few logs and a sandbag sentry bunker.

They could always construct a camp perimeter in some way too.

I can't see a cam net being of much use to the SAS but, it may be nice for the Germans, if only to throw over the vehicles when not in use.

OK, I'll save the space, Dave B is bringing his German nets anyway.
Gavin (if the weather is OK) is coming to site in his jeep and has offered it for game use. He is an IED regular so knows the state of the 'roads'. I said cool stuff and the decision is with him on the day - its a wooden jeep with a bit of history so he won't want it getting wet.
Also Forester may have got his Kubel now so will be using that in game if sorted.
Heh, at one point we had no vehicles at all. Its going to VERY easy for the allies if players tootle about in wagons for two days - so they won't! But it will add to the fun and atmosphere.
German vehicles are like buses! You wait weeks and then three show up!
Do these vehicles have windscreens that can be folded down? I'd hate to see a players vehicle get it's screen smashed in an ambush.

Frankly, vehicles will be a huge disadvantage to the Germans. The route from the camp is tortuous and occupants are sitting ducks once onto the main road. By far the quickest response will be on foot and more thorough too. But heh, it will be good fun for allies to be ducking down as cars trundle by and ace if you can get an ambush or two in. And it may save some foot slog (says he selfishly ).
